The Symphony League of Beaumont

In 1955 a group of dedicated symphony supporters formed The Beaumont Symphony Women’s League Inc. Although the name changed in 1993, the purpose and commitment remain the same.  The League’s mission is to support and promote the growth of the Symphony of Southeast Texas and to foster and encourage musical education, participation and appreciation of the membership and the general public.

Each year the League provides vital funding and essential services for the orchestra. Over the past five years alone the League has contributed over half a million dollars to support the Symphony of Southeast Texas. In addition to funding, League volunteers provide meals for the orchestra, sell tickets, and usher at concerts.

 The League’s annual String Competition, and Youth Guild, Symphony Belle and Junior Escort programs encourage future generations of musicians, music lovers and Symphony supporters.  The debutante program continues to be not only a successful League fundraiser but also to provide unique educational and cultural opportunities for the families of Symphony supporters. A major fundraising project, the League’s annual ball has fast become the highlight of the social season. Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 9, 2008. You will have a great time while supporting the Symphony of Southeast Texas.
